ABOUT

Program

Defining your purpose is where the magic happens in CrossFit.
At Paragon we want you to think about two questions:
What is your purpose? Why are you here?
Is it to lose body fat and look good at the beach?
Is it to become a better soccer player, and perform better at pickup basketball on Tuesday nights?
Is it to compete in local competitions? Or is it just to be better at life?

Each day at paragon, we track towards your specific purpose.
The subtle yet important changes that can be made to a prescribed workout, i.e. scaling the workout, allow us to offer personalized, purpose driven fitness in a fun and energizing group setting.
Whether you are a new CrossFitter, or going on your 10th year of CrossFit, it is your individual goal and purpose that determines your track.

At Paragon, our daily workout primarily consists of Metcon. What is Metcon or Metabolic Conditioning?
Simply put, it is a training program designed to consume maximum calories to create an oxygen deficit that forces your body to naturally burn calories at an accelerated rate for hours afterwards. Metabolic Conditioning allows your body to function at its optimum level by making your natural metabolism most efficient and making you fit for life.
Whether we are running, rowing, biking, doing push-up or pull-ups, or throwing weights; proper execution of all movements under a relatively high intensity is the focus of all our classes at Paragon. Ultimately it’s all about virtuosity, doing the common uncommonly well!

For maximum benefits, we suggest training 2-3 consecutive days, followed by one day of rest. This ensures proper progression, and recovery.

Paragon Open Club

Once a year, CrossFit holds a 5 weeks worldwide competition called “The Open.” Whether you are new to CrossFit or a seasoned veteran, the Open can be an amazing time for you to learn more about yourself, your limits, and how to push beyond them. Of course, each and every Open workout is well designed to expose everyone’s weaknesses, and adding up 5 weeks of it back to back, we are all humbly faced with a bucket list of new goals to achieve for the next year.

The purpose of the Paragon Open Club is to give you the opportunity to follow an extensive supplementary program in addition to what we do during the one hour class. This will better your strength, gymnastic skills, and of course your ability to handle larger volume of training in one day.

For most days of the week, the program follows the exact same workout as the class with additional strength, gymnastics, and/or other auxiliary components which usually will take up to an additional hour to complete.

This program is available at no charge to all CFP members. You receive an email for the next day program every night at 7:00 pm. This programming includes extensive coaching notes and videos.

Paragon After Party

Is the Paragon Open Club too time consuming and difficult to stay consistent with? Do you feel the need for a little extra work without the commitment to the full Paragon Open Club?

We gotcha! Paragon After Party is about 10-20 minutes of Conditioning (Rowing, Running, Bike), Lifting (Usually Squat waves), Gymnastic Skills, or simple Mobility. It's posted nightly on Wodify along with the workout of the day, “WOD”, and it will be on the Whiteboard/Monitors at Paragon.

We encourage you to motivate and rally your favorite training buddies to dive in and enjoy the After Party with you on any given day
