CrossFit Paragon goes to Regionals Day 1
We are off to an amazing start! After WODs 1 and 2 the team sits in a tie for 5 with North Atlanta and Irving is in 2nd place overall.
WOD 1 Team
Row 750×4
50 Handstand Push-ups
Row 750×4
One person rows at a time. Order on the row must be maintained during handstand push-ups with one athlete working at a time.
Nate
Bex
Krissi
Ribeye
Nate rowed first followed by Bex, Krissi, and Ribeye. Even with Ribeye maintaining a sub 1:40/500m. pace on the rower CF Paragon was one of the last teams to start the Handstand push-ups, but Nate got us off to an incredible start by completing 30 in a row! Bex followed that up with an amazing 20 Handstand push-ups, making us one of the first teams to return to the row!
Overall place WOD 1: 7th place
WOD 2 Team

Glissel
George
Glissel started us off with an impressive 135lb. thruster! Not long after Glissel, George took to the arena and put on one hell of a show, finishing with a 255lb thruster!
Overall Score WOD 2: 6th place
Individual WOD 1:
Run 1000m
30 Handstand Push-ups
Row 1000m
Irving set off to a great start, returning from the run near the front of the pack. But really seperated himself with his 30 unbroken handstand push-ups which seemed to go at an uncountable pace. Getting back to the rower first, Irving ran into some trouble with the foot straps and set himself back a few seconds, but still managed to rake in a 4th place finish.
Overall place WOD1: 4th place
Individual WOD2:
Thruster Ladder
Weights and rules are same as team WOD 2.
Irving walked into the arena with the same calm, confidence that carried George to a 265lb. finish. Even though weighing in under 155lbs. Irving was still capable of getting 235lbs. extended out overhead!
Overall place WOD 2: 7th place
